1. What we collect
Account data: your email address and a securely hashed password. We never store passwords in readable form.
Birth details you choose to add: name or label, date, time (or an "unknown time" flag), place, coordinates and timezone. These are required to calculate Vedic charts, and that is their only purpose.
Usage data: device sessions (browser, approximate location derived from IP, last activity) shown to you in Settings, plus technical logs that keep the service secure.
2. How we use it
To calculate your charts, dashas and daily guidance; to secure your account; to send transactional email such as verification links and password resets; and, only with your consent, occasional product updates.
We do not sell your personal data. We do not share birth details with advertisers. Ever.
3. Where it lives and how it is protected
Data is stored in access-controlled databases with encryption in transit everywhere. Authentication uses short-lived tokens in HttpOnly cookies with server-side revocation. Administrative actions are recorded in an immutable audit trail.
4. Your rights
You can export a copy of your data or request account deletion at any time from Settings → Privacy. Deletion requests remove your personal data within 30 days, except records we must keep for legal or accounting reasons.
5. Cookies and analytics
We use strictly-necessary session cookies to keep you signed in. These cannot be switched off, because without them the site cannot tell who you are.
We also use Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages are read, so we know what to improve. It is switched on ONLY if you agree when asked, it is never switched on before you answer, and declining changes nothing about how the site works for you. If you decline you are not asked again.
Analytics records the page you viewed, roughly where in the world you are, and whether you used a phone or a computer. Your birth details, your charts, your readings and your questions are never sent to it, and we do not share birth details with advertisers. Advertising and personalisation signals are disabled.
To change your mind later, clear the stored site data in your browser and you will be asked again.
